Coupon or cashback: find the better checkout
Compare the final price on the eligible routes. A percentage by itself does not settle whether a coupon is better.
Read coupon eligibility
Determine whether the portal allows the code. If it excludes the coupon, compare a coupon-only checkout with a cashback-eligible checkout rather than assuming both will pay.
Compare the same order
Include delivery charges, subscription pricing, and any product differences. Cashback can apply to a different amount than the store discount. Use the eligible amount for each calculation.
Account for certainty
A checkout discount applies immediately when accepted. Cashback requires validation and can be declined. If the routes have nearly the same price, consider whether the immediate saving fits your needs better.
Example: a $100 item with a $15 coupon costs $85. A 10% eligible rebate without that coupon would cost $90 after approval, so the coupon route is cheaper in this illustration.
